First Amendment Fellow
Alexandra Gutierrez (she/her) is a First Amendment Fellow at The Center for Investigative Reporting. She received her law degree from Yale Law School, where she was a co-director of the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic and a member of the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic. She then clerked on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a recipient of the Shirley Adelson Siegel Fellowship from the Yale Law Journal. Before becoming an attorney, Gutierrez reported on state politics for Alaska Public Media and worked as a web editor for The American Prospect.
