About CIR About News Lab at Google About TWG About The Canadian Press Agenda Registration
Designed for journalists, broadcasters, digital designers and technologists, TechRaking: Weathering the News will explore the unique challenges and stories of Canada’s Arctic as it confronts climate change, shifting cultures, populations and industries, and the issues of open data and access to information as it applies to the region.

Over the course of the day you’ll hear from industry experts who’ve worked closely with Arctic issues to bring them to public awareness, and learn about new digital tools to enhance communication and visualization of these topics for your audiences.

Attendees will have a chance to “hack” a solution to a presented challenge focused on assisting community members, scientists, technologists and journalists as the planet prepares for a rapidly evolving ecosystem.
