Katia Savchuk is an intern with The Center for Investigative Reporting. She is a recent graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where she was a fellow at the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism. She has written for The Miami Herald, Village Voice, Palo Alto Weekly and other publications. She has a background as a private investigator and international development consultant. She has a master’s degree in urbanization and development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and bachelor’s degree in social studies from Harvard University.
